The president of the National Court of Justice of Ecuador, Iván Saquicela, signed an order to initiate the extradition request from Belgium of former president Rafael Correa, sentenced to eight years in prison within the Odebrecht plot.
Former President Correa told CNN that Belgium granted him immigration benefits although we have not been able to independently confirm the alleged benefits from Belgium.
