Hong Weimin, deputy to the National People's Congress, held a birthday banquet at a restaurant in Wanchai on January 3 this year. More than 200 people attended, including many high-ranking officials and politicians.
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department issued a ticket to the restaurant earlier. The restaurant today (22) admitted that the restaurant had a notice that did not comply with the regulations of the Department of Health and was fined 6,000 yuan.
The defendant company, Victory Map Limited, is charged with failing to comply with the instructions issued by the Department of Health under section 6(1) of Cap. 599F on 3 January 2022.
