An improvised building used for raising dogs on Tomer Street in Beit She'an caught fire last night (Thursday through Friday).
Three firefighters from the Afula station arrived at the scene, which is under a residential building, and rescued 11 dogs from it.
One of them, unfortunately, was found lifeless.
Firefighters were rushed to the scene around 4 p.m., due to several reports of smoke coming out of a building.
When the crews arrived at the scene, they realized it was an improvised kennel.
The occupants of the building were evacuated and an effort was made to put out the fire and rescue the dogs.
At the same time, scans were carried out to rule out the presence of additional trapped people in the building.
A person injured by smoke inhalation was treated by medical staff.
The building was badly damaged.
