The Cambridges keep going. Even on Queen Elizabeth II's birthday, they make a trip to the DEC headquarters in London in support of Ukraine.

London – After congratulating Queen Elizabeth II (96) on her 96th birthday on social media, the Cambridges went to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC for short), a charity, to find out all about the help to support the from Russia's invasion of Ukraine to learn about the people affected.

It's the second visit to Ukraine support and it quickly becomes clear: Kate Middleton (40) and Prince William (39) know how important it is to stay on the ball after almost eight weeks of war.

With pins in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, the ducal couple also spoke directly to helpers on site via video link to get a first-hand picture of the situation.

The organization works with local partners to provide food, water, shelter and medical aid.

A good 370 million euros have already been raised for humanitarian measures through the organisation's appeals.

Since the monarch spent her 96th birthday privately at her Sandringham estate, Kate and William used the time for an affair of the heart.

Nevertheless, they of course congratulated Queen Elizabeth II with a warm Instagram greeting before heading to the DEC.

It is also conceivable that the exceptional regent, who is celebrating her 70th anniversary of the throne this year, asked her grandson to do so.

It's already the second visit to Ukraine support.

In March, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, carrying homemade chocolate brownies and granola bars for the volunteers, paid a surprise visit to the Ukrainian Cultural Center in London to learn about efforts to support Ukrainians in the UK and across Europe .

The young British royals were among the first royals to make a statement on their shared Twitter account @KensingtonRoyal in support of Ukraine.

They showed their colours, although the constitutional monarchy does not provide for political interference.

They had already met President Volodymyr Selenskyj (44) and First Lady Olena Selenska (44) in person, wrote the parents of three and stood by the entire Ukrainian people.

Zelenskyy thanked the British royal family for their support.

"Good will prevail," he added.

Apparently, Kate Middleton and Prince William just want to leave no stone unturned so that this sentence finally comes true.
