Recently, there were not a single open restaurant in Gaißach.

But now there is a glimmer of hope.

The sports home has new tenants.

Gaißach – Bad times for a social get-together in the village: Recently there hasn't been a single restaurant in Gaißach.

The "Jägerwirt" and the "Kranzerstuben" are history.

The ongoing renovation of the inn in Mühl is still ongoing.

And with the “Zachschuster” in Untergries, the municipality is hoping that the corresponding planning application will be submitted soon.

For wedding celebrations, Gaissachers have to look for a suitable hall in the neighboring communities.

And at the funeral feast, there is the option of going to the Gasthof Isarwinkel on the Tölz golf course.

28-year-old Maria-Magdalena Leichmann is a qualified restaurateur

But now there is a first ray of hope: The trained restaurateur Maria-Magdalena Leichmann recently took over the "Dorfstüberl" in the sports home of SC Gaißach in Obergries as the new tenant.

The 28-year-old currently lives in Starnberg and is the daughter of master baker and confectioner Josef Leichmann from Gaißach.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.

Locally, its beginning of the pandemic is orphaned

Together with her father, she would like to revive the restaurant and café in the clubhouse of the Gaißach footballers, which has been orphaned since the beginning of the Corona pandemic.

Monday and Tuesday are closed.

"We're still in the process of finding the optimum opening times," reports Maria-Magdalena Leichmann.

The exact times would be announced by notice and on the SC Gaißach website.

The municipal council and mayor are delighted with the development

Mayor Stefan Fadinger and the municipal council were delighted with this development at the public municipal council meeting on Tuesday evening.

"This is good news for our village," emphasized Fadinger.
