Clashes on the Temple Mount resumed today (Friday) at noon.

Masked men threw stones at police on the spot and a glider sprayed tear gas on the rioters.

More than 90,000 worshipers attended the noon prayer in al-Aqsa.

Several hundred Palestinians gathered in the mosque plaza on the Temple Mount and chanted nationalist chants.

Some waved Hamas and Palestinian flags.



Earlier today, after the clashes that broke out on the mountain in the morning, Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai arrived in the Old City of Jerusalem and held a situation assessment with the district commanders and division heads

This morning, hundreds of Palestinians rioted during the Fajr prayer on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Some of the demonstrators were masked and waved Hamas flags and fired fireworks at security forces on the spot.

Before the riots broke out, dozens of protesters were documented chanting slogans in support of Muhammad Daf and Yahya Sinwar.



Also, among the rioters was seen a man in a wheelchair.

One of the demonstrators fired fireworks in the direction of the Western Wall, which hit a tree in the Temple Mount area and caused it to ignite.

Crews were called to put out the blaze.

Meanwhile, some of the worshipers at the site confronted the rioters and demanded that they stop the commotion.

About four hours later, the clashes ceased and security forces left the compound.
