Terrible accident at Pastetten: driver burns in the car

A terrible traffic accident happened on Friday between Pastetten and Markt Schwaben.

One person burned in the car, a woman is in mortal danger.

– A terrible traffic accident occurred early Friday afternoon on state road 2332 between Pastetten and Markt Schwaben near the A 94 bridge.

One person was killed and a driver involved had to be resuscitated at the scene of the accident.

Your condition is critical.

At around 1:30 p.m., the driver of a Mercedes craftsman's car from Erding was driving from Markt Schwaben in the direction of Pastetten.

For reasons that are still unknown, she drove her vehicle further and further to the left and finally collided with the oncoming Toyota of a person from Dorfen, which immediately burst into flames.

The van turned 180 degrees in the collision and came to a stop in the same direction as the Toyota.

This was reported by witnesses who also drove towards Pastetten with a Mercedes B-Class.

Any help came too late for the driver of the Toyota, he burned to death in his car beyond recognition.

The woman from Erding was critically injured, was trapped in her car and had to be freed by the fire department.

She was resuscitated at the scene of the accident for a long time before being flown to the Bogenhausen Clinic by the Christoph 14 rescue helicopter from Traunstein.

Her condition was critical, according to emergency services on site.

Active members of the Pastetten fire brigade extinguished the burning vehicle.

There were also forces from the Reithofen-Harthofen and Markt Schwaben fire brigades, the police with several patrols, the MKT rescue service and the BRK with an emergency doctor and rescue service leader.

The BRK's crisis intervention team looked after the witnesses, a family with an eight-year-old child from Reithofen, and the family of the deceased.

In order to reconstruct the course of the accident, experts from the public prosecutor's office were on site.

The road was closed for hours until early evening.
