Many medical staffs in Saudi Arabia were rushed to the scene, and hospitals evacuated, among others, three seriously injured and ten in moderate condition.
Every year millions of Muslims make a pilgrimage to the holy cities of Islam in Mecca and al-Madinah.
Against this background, fatal disasters occur from time to time.
Thus, for example, in 2015 a crushing disaster occurred during the annual Hajj in Mecca.
More than 2,400 people were killed in the same disaster.
In 2006 and 1990, similar disasters occurred in which hundreds of pilgrims were trampled.
