A variety of local food products and various handicrafts for hooks, sewing, embroidery and accessories included in the exhibition launched by the Salt Sarar Charitable Associations for People with Disabilities and Bint Al Jabal Developmental Association today in the lobby hall of the Suwayda City Council.

The exhibition held under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor within the activities of the month of goodness held by As-Suwayda Governorate presents, over the course of the current week, the products of micro-projects for a group of women and people with disabilities.

The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in As-Suwayda, Eng. Samer Bahsas, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the aim of the exhibition is to enhance support for micro-projects for needy families provided by associations, in a way that transforms the concept of assistance for them from a direct material framework to a continuous development.

Kholoud Al-Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salt Al-Sarr Charitable Society, indicated that the exhibition constitutes an important selling and marketing window for participants who have businesses in their homes and need support, through which products are offered at competitive prices and cheaper than the market.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bint Al-Jabal Association, Rana Azzam, stated that the association was keen, through the exhibition, to highlight the products of the women it supports to help them market and offer them at cost, stressing the importance of continuing to hold such exhibitions.

During their participation in the exhibition, Rania Abu Assi stated that she manufactures a variety of handicrafts after 15 years of sewing experience, while Ikhlas Al-Gharizi expressed her happiness at being in the exhibition to sell her accessories products, while Samia Al-Safadi found in it a broader opportunity to introduce new people to her products based on the manufacture of mortadella from sprouted grains;

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Secretary of the As-Suwayda branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Major General Fawzat Shukair, the representative of the Governor of As-Suwayda, member of the Executive Office of the Governorate, Adnan Azzam, and the President of the Suwayda City Council, Eng. Samer Abu Saada.
