"I am now in the main administrative building of the Kharkiv region."
These recordings and commentary are by Maria Adeeva.
She is the scientific director of a Ukrainian think tank.
She used to research Russian disinformation, and since the beginning of the war she has been filming the destruction caused by Russian troops' attacks in her hometown of Kharkiv.
This building was bombed in an air raid in early March, a walk through the hallways of the city hall shows the extent of the destruction.
The Russian Ministry of Defense publishes these photos: They are supposed to show a tank column in the Kharkiv region and document the advance of Russian troops in the east of the country.
According to Ukrainian data, Russian troops have increased their offensive efforts in the Donbass region, especially in the Luhansk region.
To the north, near the city of Izyum in the Kharkov region, Russian troops are attempting to advance further south in order to encircle the Ukrainian troops.
According to Ukrainian information, the Russian 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade, which was deployed in the Kiev suburb of Bucha, was also involved in the attacks.
In the completely destroyed port city of Mariupol, another escape corridor is to be established this Saturday, Ukrainian authorities have confirmed.
100,000 civilians are still holding out in the city.
In the past few days there have been repeated attempts to evacuate civilians from the city.
However, these efforts failed several times.
Russia and Ukraine blame each other for the failure.
According to its own statements, Russia now has “full control” over the port city in south-eastern Ukraine
Ukrainian soldiers and fighters from the ultra-nationalist Azov regiment and up to a thousand civilians are said to be holding out in the besieged Azovstal steelworks.
The situation at the plant is unclear.
The Ukrainian government claims that Russian troops prevented civilians from leaving the steel mill, Russia claims that Ukrainian fighters would not accept a humanitarian corridor.
Meanwhile, the Azov regiment releases these pictures from inside the steel mill, like all videos, these recordings cannot be independently verified.
They show how the fighters take care of children and women in the factory.
“We are relatives of the workers here. It seemed like the safest place to be at the time. Our house was destroyed. We've lived here ever since. We've been here since February 27."
"We're playing cell phones here, but we want to go home - we want to see the sun."
It remains to be seen whether the evacuation of people from Mariupol will be more successful this time than in previous attempts.
