Among other things, the video shows film actress Jane Fonda visiting IDF soldiers and receiving an explanation from Brigadier General Avigdor Kahalani, commander of a volcanic formation.
The film also shows Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Defense Minister Ariel Sharon visiting the Northern Command, and journalist Amos Carmeli, who is trying to extract from them a reference to his questions.
"For the time being I am silent," Begin answers him - and Sharon also refuses to speak.
The many photos were taken by IDF Spokesman soldiers who documented the various IDF units during, after, and during the truce - playing in the snow, eating and singing.
In the coming weeks, additional archival material from the war, which broke out on June 6, 1982, will be published.
