The soldier apparently conducted a military patrol in his vehicle near the town of Maon and collided with the vehicle of an Israeli citizen.
He was taken to hospital for medical treatment and a notice was given to his family.
There is no suspicion of a security incident

An IDF soldier was seriously injured today (Sunday) in a car accident near the town of Maon in the Mount Hebron area. This, as part of a routine military activity there. The soldier apparently patrolled his car and collided with an Israeli citizen. There is no suspicion of a security incident.
Yesterday, a 61-year-old man was killed and a 30-year-old woman from Acre was seriously injured in a car accident between the scooter they were riding and a pickup truck at the intersection between Road 4 and Road 859. MDA staff determined the man dead .

Last week, an unusual accident occurred in the Negev - a 65-year-old man was killed when he collided with his camel vehicle on Road 358 between the Lakia Interchange and in the direction of Eshkolot in the northern Negev.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m.
MDA medics and paramedics determined the driver's death at the scene after it was captured in a vehicle and rescued with no signs of life.
