Asked by TF1 on the Champ-de-Mars, the first lady announced that she was going to continue what she "has been doing for five years, that is to say responding to the French", and fighting "against harassment" .

I can't tell you, it was intimate.

“The words exchanged by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, will remain known only to their ears, indicates Brigitte Macron, visibly moved, on the Champ-de-Mars in Paris this Sunday.

Mutually, we said thank you, because we are always there for each other

”, confided the first lady at the microphone of TF1 this Sunday evening, in the middle of the crowd who came to celebrate the victory.

I will do what I have done for five years, that is to say respond to the French who write to me and continue with the Fondation des Hôpitaux, continue to give courses and help against harassment

”, affirmed the first lady, who wishes to “

intensify

” her fight against harassment.

"

There are too many young people who ask me to go, so I will go with them, I promise them

," she says again.

A huge honor

In December, the first lady herself was the target of false rumors on social networks, accusing her of being transgender, and decided to file a complaint.

"

Me if I don't go, if I don't do anything, while I've been against harassment for four years, I'm not audible

", she testified on RTL in January, regretting that with "

a lawyer who is experienced in the exercise

", it took her five and a half days to put an end to these rumours, even though she has more resources than the majority of victims.

Asked also about the differences between this victory and that of 2017, the president's wife replies that she has "

difficulty quantifying

" these two deadlines, stressing however that it is a "

huge honor

" that her husband was re-elected head of state.

Five more years now await them both at the Élysée.
