Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, the two candidates for the second round of the presidential election, did not convince nearly 28% of voters.
A record number of abstentions since 1969. In Essonne, some even preferred candidates… totally unusual.

In another polling station in the city, a joker scribbled the name of Marine Le Pen to write that of another French footballer, also world champion but more current: Kylian Mbappé.
A ballot filed in Les Ulis, but which could have found its place in Gif-sur-Yvette.

These pranks recall another oddity observed on the side of Ulis.

And it is not only in Ulis that original ballots, therefore void, were slipped into the ballot box.
In the Yvelines, in Verneuil-sur-Seine, someone preferred to give their vote to the singer… Mylène Farmer.
