A federal judge in Louisiana issued a ruling on Monday to temporarily keep Title 42, the health policy, imposed in March 2020 by former President Donald Trump due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which allows the immediate expulsion of migrants. on the border and was scheduled to be eliminated on May 23 by the current Administration.
Judge Robert Summerhays' order comes in response to a lawsuit originally filed by the states of Missouri, Louisiana and Arizona.
Missouri's attorney general reacted by calling it "a huge victory for border security."
