Today, the National House of Books Theater in Aleppo hosted an artistic Ramadan evening presented by the House of Arts for Heritage Ensemble for the Haddad brothers and the orchestra led by Maestro Abdel Halim Hariri, which included traditional songs and folkloric dance paintings.
In a statement to SANA, Muhammad Hijazi, director of the National Library in Aleppo, explained the importance of these traditional spiritual and artistic activities to present songs that are appropriate for the holy month of Ramadan, pointing to the large number of people attending to listen to muwashahat and al-Qudud al-Halabi.
In turn, director of the House of Arts for Heritage Group, Muhammad Haddad, explained that this celebration comes within the Ramadan nights celebrations that are held in all Syrian governorates, which include in Aleppo the presentation of Aleppo and religious pilgrims, in addition to the choir of the dead, Sufi and tarab songs, dances from the Aleppo heritage, and the Mawlawi dance from the Sufi heritage.
Among the participants in the celebration between singer Nihad Khairi is that the aim of such artistic activities is to preserve heritage, given that the city of Aleppo is a city rich in art and rapture, especially the qudud and the muwashshahat.
The artist Ammar Jarrah expressed his happiness to participate in this Ramadan atmosphere, pointing to his participation in the embodiment of the traditional storyteller, to provide an explanation of the Andalusian muwashahat and the famous Aleppo Qudoud.
