At high altitudes, unidentified heroes climb high-voltage towers in different areas of Damascus countryside to solve the most complex problems caused by harsh weather conditions and to erect towers and lay high-voltage lines that are part of an integrated project that feeds a number of rural areas with electricity.

Difficult and risky work in a rugged and rocky environment, which was monitored by SANA’s camera in the Khan al-Sheih area in Damascus countryside, where electricians are re-erecting double-circuit towers for the high-voltage lines that feed the network linking “Deir Ali.. Al-Fursan” and “Deir Ali.. Qudsaya 3” and that After the last snow storm caused the collapse of three of them, according to the Operations Director of the Public Corporation for Electricity Transmission and Distribution, Eng. Ahmed Najjar.

Najjar explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the above-mentioned lines are among the important and nourishing main lines that increase the stability and reliability of the electrical network in the rural area, especially as they contribute to reducing the rationing and cutting off the current resulting from the weakness of the electrical network.

Najjar stated that the technical workshops have been working with exceptional efforts for about ten days to repair and erect the towers. The monument process opened and paved a dirt road so that the workshops and machinery could enter the work sites and fix the faults in preparation for laying the conveyors and linking the towers with each other and securing the feeding after connecting the stations and closing the circuit.

Head of the Damascus High-Tension Lines Maintenance Workshop, Assistant Engineer Jamil Jabhaji, said, “We were late in work due to the nature of the area and the difficulty of reaching the location of the malfunction. The right time for installation, especially since the work needs stable weather conditions.”

In turn, Fawaz al-Kuzbari, the "maintenance technician", stated that after the completion of the installation of the towers and making sure of their durability and readiness, the workshops would lay the cables and connect them to the network, while the technical worker Hussein Mudhahi explained that the number of towers in the area is 45, and that the towers that collapsed led to the network's suspension, pointing out He pointed out that the reform process required concerted and doubling efforts by the workers and the General Organization for Electricity Transmission and Distribution to reach a positive result within a short period of time, adding: “Although the work is hard and tiring, this suffering ends when the workers hear the buzzing of the current.”

Working on tension lines and towers is very difficult, according to the technical worker, Hossam Al-Dailami, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, when the worker is forced to climb high heights and endanger his life in terms of falling or being electrocuted. for their safety.

The love and preoccupation with work made the long hours pass quickly with the setting sun to announce that the workers in the area had begun to rest because it was time for breakfast.
