Satellite imagery has revealed two hundred-meter-long trenches used for burial in a cemetery five kilometers outside the besieged city.

A fourth mass grave was unveiled tonight (Monday) in the eastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol, after two months of a brutal Russian siege in which thousands of city residents were killed in bombings and shelling.

Satellite imagery posted by you on Free Radio Europe showed several 200-foot-long trenches in a cemetery about five miles from the city center.

According to estimates, the photos taken yesterday show mass graves that could contain thousands of dead.

Experts estimate that these are mass graves for civilians killed in the fighting, or executed by Russian security services.

The mayor of Mariupol estimated earlier this month that more than 20,000 citizens of the city, which had a population of 450,000, had been killed during a two-month Russian siege.

Last week, two mass graves in the city were exposed in satellite photos released by a private American company.

The photos show a long swimming pool about 300 meters long in the town near Mariupol, where the last Ukrainian forces are fortified.

Additional photographs showed Russian army forces operating near the pit.

The photos were taken between March 23 and 29, as the rate of civilian casualties in the city skyrocketed.

Experts estimate that at least 200 civilians were buried by Russian soldiers at the site.

It is not clear whether these are civilians killed by the bombings or during the fierce fighting in the city, or civilians captured and executed by Russian military forces, such as in the town of Bocha near the capital Kyiv.

Meanwhile, fighting in Ukraine first trickled into the Transnistrian region, a pro-Russian separatist entity located in Moldova's official territory but controlled by Boel by pro-Russian separatists alongside Russian military forces.

According to reports from the place, missiles hit the building of the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of Transnistria in its capital Tiraspol, and the Russian media were quick to accuse the Ukrainian army of the attack.

Russia has previously threatened to open up another front against Ukraine from Transnistria and attack the city of Odessa, the third largest city in the country, from the southwest.
