Real Madrid CF and Manchester City meet in the Champions League semi-finals and are two of the teams that have spent the most money on transfers in the last ten years.
Money does not bring happiness, but in the world of football, sometimes it gives titles.
This is the case of Real Madrid which, within its long track record, has 13 Champions League titles, being the team with the most European Cups.
To achieve each title, the merengue team has spent large amounts of money on the best players, but it has not been the club that has invested the most.
In the last ten years, the white team has spent $535 million less than City and has been proclaimed European champion four times.
However, Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona have shelled out larger amounts of money and have only lifted one European Cup each.

Manchester City is the team that has spent the most money on transfers in Europe in the last decade.
Real Madrid, in this case, is in eighth place and is also surpassed by Chelsea FC, Juventus Turin, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, PSG and Atlético de Madrid.
Since the 2012/2013 season, the white team has disbursed a total of US$1.15 billion in signings, while City has spent US$1.72 billion.
