The Hong Kong government has promoted the development of electric vehicles in recent years. KMB announced today (25th) that 16 new-generation domestic BYD pure electric single-deck buses have completed the testing and licensing procedures, and will be put into service today. The Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Terminal has a total passenger capacity of 81 people.

KMB said that the new generation of single-deck electric buses are equipped with free 5G Wi-Fi Internet service and ventilation windows.
In terms of safety facilities, all car seats are equipped with seat belts and electronic stability systems.
The new generation of single-layer electric buses uses "electric green" as the main color of the body, and introduces a "battery management system" and a water cooling system to monitor the battery status, manage the battery temperature more effectively, prolong battery life and improve performance.
Charging takes 1 hour and 40 minutes
KMB pointed out that the new electric bus is 4% lighter than the current single-deck bus, and can carry 16% more passengers to 81 people. The charging time is 1 hour and 40 minutes, which is two hours faster than before, and can travel about 200 kilometers.
