Bad Tölz – According to the police, it could have been microsleep that caused the serious accident on state road 2072 with three injured people.
On Friday (April 22nd) around 5 p.m., a 22-year-old Lenggrieser drove his car on state road 2072 from Geretsried in the direction of Bad Tölz.
Shortly after Roßwies, he got into the oncoming lane with his vehicle and collided with the car of a 40-year-old from Münsing, in which her 8-year-old son was also sitting.

As reported by the police, the 22-year-old Lenggrieser's car overturned due to the strong collision and remained on the roof at the edge of the road.
The left front wheel and parts of the axle of the 40-year-old Münsingerin's car were torn out of the vehicle by the force of the impact.
The car came to a stop in the adjacent meadow.
Another vehicle, a 27-year-old Tölzer, was also damaged by flying vehicle parts.

The Lenggrieser was taken to the Bad Tölz hospital in an ambulance and the woman from Münsing and her son were flown to the accident clinic in Murnau for further examination by rescue helicopter.
According to the emergency doctors on site, none of those involved was in danger of death.
Material damage totaling around 50,000 euros
Both vehicles were severely deformed and were no longer roadworthy.
They were removed from the scene of the accident by a tow truck.
According to the police, there was property damage of around 50,000 euros.
According to the police report, there were indications that the person responsible for the accident had fallen asleep while driving and thus got into oncoming traffic.
It is now being determined because of negligent bodily harm and endangerment of road traffic.
The volunteer fire brigades in Bad Tölz, Ellbach and Hechenberg were deployed with a total of 35 men.
The route was completely closed for a good hour.
