The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, affirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to violate the Charter of the United Nations and the Geneva Conventions due to the failure of the UN Security Council to hold them accountable for their crimes against the Palestinians and their property and sanctities.

Mansour warned in his speech during a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation in the Middle East and the developments of the Palestinian issue, which was reported by Wafa Agency, that the continued occupation and establishment of illegal settlements on the occupied Palestinian lands constitutes a threat to international peace and security, calling on the international community to work seriously to preserve the holy city and prevent Judaizing it and changing its features and Palestinian Arab identity.

Mansour pointed out that the occupation forces and settlers carry out the most heinous crimes against Palestinians on a daily basis, including killing children, bombing homes, and assaulting sanctities, the latest of which was the repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacks on worshipers and worshipers in it, which undermines the chances of reaching a just settlement of the Palestinian issue in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
