A 3-month-old Latino boy was kidnapped Monday from his home in Northern California, according to local authorities, who released security camera video showing the suspect carrying a baby seat down the street.
The man is accused of entering the family home in San Jose shortly after 1 p.m. Monday and taking the minor, identified as Brandon Cuellar, local police spokesman Christian Camarillo reported at a press conference. .

The abduction occurred when his grandmother was taking care of him while the mother worked.
The woman had gone shopping with the child, according to Camarillo, and when she returned home she left him there for two minutes while she went to get the shopping bags from her car.
"In that short period of time, someone entered the apartment," said the police spokesman, "we have someone who
is walking around today with a 3-month-old baby that she did not have until yesterday
."
The family has not recognized the man who was caught on security cameras carrying what authorities describe as a black baby seat, the kind used with children in the car, with a white blanket on top.
The spokesman said it is not clear if the man had the stroller or if it belongs to the family.
When he was abducted, Brandon was
wearing a long-sleeved white jumpsuit with dinosaurs
on it , according to the police department.

The San Jose Police Department posted on Twitter that its officers and FBI agents are going door-to-door in the area to locate witnesses or information related to the case.
"We need the help of the community," said the police spokesman, insisting that the recording be disseminated through social networks.

The police shared telephone numbers to provide information and announced that a reward would be offered for data that helps clarify the case.
