The Vhs would like to help refugee Ukrainians to integrate quickly and unbureaucratically.

But she encounters difficulties - mainly of a financial nature.

Now she is calling for donations.

County

– The adult education center's phone doesn't ring.

Long queues form in the Vhs offices: the refugees from the Ukraine want to find out about German courses and attend them as soon as possible.

The problem: "You may have to wait weeks for permission to take part in the integration courses," explains Martina Eglauer, head of the Vhs.

Important basic knowledge should be conveyed quickly

The educational institution wants to offer German courses for these refugees quickly and unbureaucratically, and of course free of charge.

These courses offer an initial introduction to the German language and take place at Vhs locations in Ebersberg, Grafing and Markt Schwaben, reports Eglauer.

Within a short time, the most important basic knowledge for communication in everyday life should be conveyed.

There is no funding from the Free State of Bavaria or the Federal Government for these free offers.

The Vhs asks for donations so that these courses can be offered free of charge.

The donations are used to honor course leaders and finance teaching materials.

According to the Vhs, it has already launched eight courses with a total of 180 participants.

A ninth course is being planned.

The need for further courses is great.

Eglauer: “Your donation will help to further expand the offer.

The Vhs im Zweckverband issues donation receipts.” ez
