Iran has renewed its condemnation of the Zionist occupation entity's repeated attacks on the Palestinian people and their sanctities and on Syrian lands, stressing that the aggressive and expansionist plans and projects of this entity undermine stability in the entire region.
Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, said during a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation in the Middle East and developments in the Palestinian cause, especially that "the Zionist entity's repeated attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and its blatant threat to use force against all countries in the region constitute a real threat to peace and security. Takht Ravanchi denounced the brutal attacks of the Zionist entity on Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that "Iran strongly condemns the recent attacks by the occupation entity and extremist settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque during the blessed month of Ramadan, as they violated the sanctity of the mosque and brazenly provoked the feelings of Muslims around the world."

Iran's delegate to the United Nations stressed that the Palestinian issue can only be resolved by ending the occupation and officially recognizing and fully protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and thus restoring the sovereignty of the Palestinian people over the occupied Palestinian territories.
