(CNN Spanish) --
The most important club soccer tournament in the world is back.
The semifinals of the Champions League begin this Tuesday with what is considered the most even duel of the last phase before the final.
This day the first leg will be played between Manchester City and Real Madrid, teams that are in first place in the English Premier League and the Spanish LaLiga, respectively.
On the one hand, Pep Guardiola's City has been unstoppable both in the league and in the Champions League (just a little more than Liverpool);
meanwhile, although it has not been the best campaign for the meringues, that has been enough for them to be nothing from winning the Spanish title and to sneak into the semifinals of the competition in which they appear as the greatest historical winner.
Which teams have won the UEFA Champions League the most times?
The historical list
On paper, City starts with a better armed squad and with more variants;
However, the 13 Champions League titles that Madrid have always make them favorites for this tournament, especially when they are going to face a club that has never won this competition.

Manchester City players for the Champions League
The English club did not make an announcement of the players called up for the match against Real Madrid.
However, Pep Guardiola said at a press conference on Monday that Kyle Walker and John Stones, the team's starting defenders, are in doubt due to injury and that he will define their situation this Tuesday.
Likewise, another starting defender, full-back Joao Cancelo, is completely ruled out for the first leg due to suspension.
