Osem's recall comes after Strauss announced yesterday morning that it had taken the products off the shelves due to fears of the salmonella bacterium in a number of Elite chocolate products.
The recall began yesterday, even though Strauss received indications that the salmonella bacterium was present at the plant as early as April 19, and we updated the Ministry of Health on this in due course.
Following this, last night Unilever Israel also announced a recall of a number of Strauss ice cream products that it markets.
