I remember where I was when I first heard the name Michal Sala.
The shock I got when I realized she was my age and that we had a mutual friendship.
Everyone around me wondered, and I did not quite understand either - "How can this be? How did such a smart, wrapped and strong girl find herself in such a relationship?".
So it's true that I did not know Michal in reality, but after much thought and research of the subject, I found an answer to these questions: social satisfaction.
And to be more specific: the social paving that women go through in Israeli society towards marriage and childbirth before the age of 30. A kind of distorted "chair game" that makes smart and good women compromise on problematic relationships, to say the least, all in order not to stay the last when music stops - just as A. told me, surviving a violent relationship: "I felt like everyone around me was getting married and having children, and I did not want to be left behind."

It has been three years since Michal Sala was murdered, and here - next month, for the third time, Acton Michal Sala, a wonderful initiative of her sister, Lily Ben Ami, will be held to harness technology and create innovative solutions to eradicate violence against women in the pavilion.
There is no doubt that technological initiatives to prevent domestic violence are a welcome and life-saving solution, but it is a response to distress after it has already materialized.
To uproot the problem one has to start the treatment at a much earlier stage, and teach girls to stop pleasing the environment and start listening to themselves.
Why girls?
That while lecturer behavior is also found in men, unfortunately it is a principally feminine phenomenon;
The academy conducts research demonstrating how women are educated to be pleasurable and overly nice from a young age, while boys are encouraged as they stand on their own.
For example, a study conducted in 2015 by researchers Jessica Salerno and Liana Peter-Hagana, of the University of Arizona and the University of Chicago, examined and found that women who express resentment are perceived as sentimental and unreliable - and that's just a drop in the ocean.
Educated girls put the good of the other before their own good.
An education that is not only harmful, but deadly right when it comes to choosing a romantic relationship.
Therefore, even before technology (which is important in every sense), an educational revolution must take place here: our girls need to know that the choice of the person with whom they enter into a relationship is fateful, in the sense of life and death.
Well done if we teach them to stop trying to please the environment, trust themselves and be much more "cheeky".
After all, "women who behave properly rarely make history."
But let's leave history for a moment, and let's start talking much simpler: an informed choice in a healthy and benevolent relationship.
