Unknown man kidnapped three-month-old baby from apartment - grandma left him alone for only two minutes

Baby Brandon Cuellar, 3 months, from San Jose, California, is wanted by his mother.

He was kidnapped on Monday at 1 p.m. (local time).

A three-month-old baby has been kidnapped in the United States.

A previously unknown man abducted the child from the Cuellar family home.

The alleged kidnapper was seen on video leaving the San Jose apartment with a baby carrier.

Munich/San José – The man is said to have entered the house north of downtown San José shortly after 1 p.m. (local time) on Monday.

Three-month-old Brandon Cuellars' grandmother looked after the infant while his mother was at work.

The grandmother returned home with the boy from shopping and brought him into the apartment, according to a spokesman for the local police in San Jose.

She left the boy alone for about two minutes to get the groceries from the car, the rep continued.

In that short time someone entered the apartment and walked away with the baby.

Baby kidnapping: Police are looking for witnesses

The police and the FBI in the USA have now turned to the public with a manhunt.

Officials posted pictures and a video of the suspect on the Internet.

At the time of the crime, the man was wearing black trousers, a dark blue shirt, gray shoes, a black corona mask and a gray baseball cap.

Baby Brandon was wearing a white dinosaur-themed onesie when he disappeared.

Someone is walking around with a 3 month old baby today that they didn't have yesterday.”

The boy's family did not recognize the man from surveillance camera footage.

The child cannot be seen on the video because the alleged kidnapper covered the baby carrier with a white blanket in the video.

The kidnapping of another baby was solved after 18 years.
