The days of counting the Omer are not complete, if Meir Ben Dror does not launch a vocal album.
A year ago, Ben Dror released his first vocal album, which was a resounding success and received widespread acclaim. This coming weekend, he is launching a fine vocal album, "Hearts," his second, and meanwhile, delicious: a renewal single for Mordechai Shapira's song, "Good Morning."
Ben Dror, gained a long mileage in singing and vocal, harmonic and vocal performances.
Its cover versions convey a touching simplicity of processing, and on the other hand a rhythm and cheerfulness that preserves and elevates the work within its vocal limitations.
"Good Morning" originally sung by Mordechai Shapira, is a song that thanks for the good, even for the small and simple things we have.
For example, on the sun shining on us in the morning.
"I live it in my daily life," Meir reveals, "as a lover of nature and people and as a guide for the future, I travel in the Land of Israel and all I feel is 'how great are your deeds, O Lord ...'".
The soon-to-be-released album pays homage to the original works, with the help of Meir Ben-Dror's captivating grace and meticulous attention to precise, unassuming and unsophisticated vocal performances.
The musical arrangement and production was entrusted to Yonatan Stern, a musical arranger with exceptional expertise in voice arrangements, who even collaborated with him on the previous album.
"Good Morning", like the other versions on this album, is pleasing to the ear, and you can sometimes forget that it is a version without orchestration.
