A serious accident in Jisr a-Zarqa in the Haifa area.
A one-year-old baby was hit by a passing vehicle in the locality, and was evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera with a head injury in a critical condition, with MDA teams performing resuscitation operations there.
MDA paramedic Ben Kochavi said: "The girl was brought to us in a car with a private vehicle when she was unconscious and suffering from a very severe head injury.
We were told she was hit by a vehicle.
"We immediately transferred her to an intensive care unit and evacuated her to the hospital while performing resuscitation operations in a critical condition."
A preliminary investigation reveals that a 47-year-old resident of the place who was driving a commercial vehicle hit her.
Traffic inspectors opened an investigation.
