Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas reiterated the need to put pressure on the Israeli occupation entity to stop its ongoing aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people.
According to the Palestinian Wafa Agency, President Abbas discussed during his meeting today with Jordanian King Abdullah II in the Jordanian capital Amman the latest developments in the political situation and the escalation of the Israeli occupation of its aggression on the Palestinian territories and the need for everyone to unite to defend Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian sanctities. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance bilateral coordination in issues of common interest.
Abbas clarified the importance of intensifying efforts to mobilize the energies of the international community to stop the occupation practices and its aggressive policies against the Palestinian people, their land and their holy sites, and to provide them with international protection, based on the resolutions of international legitimacy.
In turn, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan's supportive stance for the Palestinian people and their just cause, and its support for the Palestinian right to its independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
King Abdullah stressed that Jordan will continue its efforts with regional and international parties to stop the Israeli escalation and preserve the historical status of Islamic and Christian holy sites.
