The Vice-President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression that targeted the vicinity of Damascus at dawn today.
Al-Khatib said in a statement, "The Israeli occupation entity, which continues its hostile plans, is the source of evil in the region, and the fire with which it plays will rebound devastation and destruction upon it."
Allama Al-Khatib expressed his condolences to the Syrian leadership, army and people for the rise of the martyrs, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
Four soldiers were martyred, three others were wounded, and some material losses occurred as a result of an Israeli air attack at dawn today on some points in the vicinity of Damascus, while our air defenses confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down some of them.
