The leaders of the coalition factions are expected to meet tomorrow evening (Thursday) and discuss the challenges of the government and the coalition, after the retirement of Idit Silman and before their return to the Knesset in about a week and a half.
Also yesterday, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid engaged in "coalition maintenance" operations.
He met with Mansour Abbas, whose party is in a "membership freeze" in the coalition;
And with MK Eli Avidar, who, as I recall, returned to the Knesset, often attacks the government and even threatens to bring in laws that right-wingers oppose.
It was only recently reported that Avidar said in closed talks that "there is an old future in standing. Bennett's policy - sowing hysteria and deprivation of liberty, abolishing the Western Wall outline, smashing a submarine commission of inquiry, and opposing the defendant's law - prove Bennett and right do not intend to rotate. They must overthrow the government of change. "

Minister Meirav Cohen Mish Atid said yesterday in an interview with Radio 103: "We are preparing for the budget that will be submitted at the beginning of June, it will be difficult but possible. We are working under the working premise that it will pass, and we have no other choice.
As you may recall, MK Avir Kara, who has been marked as a potential retiree in recent weeks, sent a letter to his party colleague Edith Silman on Tuesday, asking him to vote with the coalition position in the Knesset session that will open soon.
Kara wrote: "As is well known, a deputy minister cannot raise laws for the Knesset plenum, and therefore the cooperation between us is intended to allow legislation on issues critical to the well-being of the citizens of the State of Israel.
Kara lists several laws he wants to promote, including a Basic Law to deny Knesset members' salaries for not forming a government, an Equality in Economic Burden Law following the new Corona virus crisis, a Minor Dealer Law, the Deposits and Social Rights for Self-Employed Law and more.
