Artistic paintings, cultural debates, and theatrical performances embody the tasks of the educational counselor and his follow-up to the educational, behavioral and psychological problems that students face within the “Murchid’s Imprint” forum, which was held today by the “Research Department” in the Damascus Countryside Education Directorate.
The forum, which was held at the Arab Cultural Center in the field, included an exhibition, a cultural debate, theatrical performances, and songs in Arabic and French, with the aim of embodying the work of psychological and social counseling.
In a speech during the forum, Minister of Education Dr. Darem Tabbaa stressed the importance of the forum, as it reflects the work of the counselors in the ministry, especially the exhibition, which embodied the stages of the counselor’s work and his important role in guiding students and solving their problems outside the framework of education, noting the theatrical performances presented and the keenness to use modern technologies in work.
Head of the Guidance Department in the Directorate of Educational Supervision, Dr. Sbeit Suleiman, pointed out that the exhibition is held annually for guidance and includes exhibitions in all directorates of education for guidance work in the school and the relationship of the advisor with the student, life skills and extra-curricular activities that instill noble values in the hearts of students.
Director of Damascus Countryside Education Maher Faraj explained that this forum comes within the ministry's plan to activate the role of psychological and social counseling in terms of students' cases and covers the phenomena prevalent in society within an academic cognitive framework through artistic and musical sections.
