The city of Moosburg wants to give property owners additional incentives to renovate their old buildings with prices.

Now the program has been presented.

Moosburg

- The inner city is a cultural treasure of the city of Moosburg, but the hands of the city or other authorities are largely tied when it comes to maintenance and development.

The owners of the buildings, which are often listed as historical monuments, have to lay their hands on the cards and then also finance measures on the building fabric.

The city is now awarding the energy prize for the renovation of old buildings for the third time.

After the awards in 2007 and 2010, home owners want to be rewarded for measures taken in previous years and also provide an incentive to do something for the next round in the coming years.

Application for the energy prize runs until June 3rd

Until June 3, Moosburg citizens have the opportunity to apply for the city's new energy prize.

The simple flyer from the town hall lists various measures for the renovation of old buildings.

Three measures must be completed for the partial renovation category, and at least five for full renovation.

Three vouchers for the Therme Erding were offered as prizes for the partial renovations, and the applicants with full renovations can look forward to three hotel weekends for two people after a selection by the jury.

In addition, every application should receive a Moosburg Card worth 50 euros as recognition.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

3. Mayor and energy/environment officer Michael Stanglmaier (Greens) made it clear that heat consumption is the decisive factor for energy requirements.

With oil or gas heating, you can save a lot with various measures through the different insulation options or the use of renewable energies (photovoltaics).

"Every liter that we consume less makes us less dependent on energy imports and strengthens climate protection." Stanglmaier emphasized that renovations are important for climate protection: "From an ecological point of view, it always makes sense to preserve and upgrade older buildings." also addressed positive secondary aspects such as significantly less mold formation.

The municipal climate protection manager Melanie Falkenstein would like the applicants to complete the small questionnaire with a one or two-page report on their old building renovation and to send in three to ten photos (ideally digital).

"We want to defuse the competitive character with the Moosburg Cards for every application," said Falkenstein.

High demand for free energy advice

At the third award ceremony for successful old building renovations in Moosburg, all measures from 2010 to the present are accepted.

There will be further editions at irregular intervals and the period of time should be shorter, not least because of the geopolitical situation.

"The demand for the free energy advice is shooting through the roof," reported the climate protection manager, "because so far it has usually been one or two a week.

Currently there are five to six.” From the perspective of the town hall, it can therefore be assumed that the number of annual renovations of old buildings will also increase.
