The Forestry and Fire Monitoring Platform “Fermo” of the General Authority for Remote Sensing indicated that from today until next Friday, medium fire risk indicators will prevail in the forests of northwest Syria, pointing out that some limited forest sites will be affected by high risk indicators.
The platform indicated on its Facebook page that the maps are being prepared in cooperation with the General Directorate of Meteorology and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, "Forest Directorate", calling for caution and caution against setting fires and reporting any fire or smoke.
The Forestry and Fire Monitoring Platform “Fermo” prepares and publishes maps and submits periodic reports to monitor the state of vegetation cover in all sites and regions and to monitor encroachments on them. Forest teams and firefighting mechanisms are distributed according to the six alert levels “very low”, “low”, “medium” and “” high”, “very high” and “severe”.
