A child abuse case occurred in Mei Tung Village, Kowloon City. A 9-year-old boy was attacked in the head with a tablet by his 51-year-old grandmother, who was suspected of discipline problems earlier.
The boy returned to Wong Tai Sin Lok Sin Road No. 1 Primary School today (27th) and was found injured on his forehead by the staff, so he notified the social worker and called the police.
After preliminary investigation, the police arrested the grandmother surnamed Huang for allegedly abusing or neglecting children or young people in her custody. The case was handed over to the Fourth Team of the Criminal Investigation Team of Wong Tai Sin Police District for follow-up.
The boy was accompanied by his family and sought medical treatment on his own.
