A man was seriously injured in an accident on Wednesday afternoon in Munich.

He was pinned between his car and a wall.

Coincidentally, a car from the Munich fire brigade and an emergency doctor were on site at the same time to help him.

Accident in Neuhausen: Munich breaks through the garage door and is trapped

In the Neuhausen district, or rather at the intersection of Lazarettstrasse and Dachauer Strasse, a serious accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

A team from the Munich fire brigade's newborn emergency doctor service (NND) was waiting at the traffic light at the intersection on their way to a non-time critical operation when they heard a loud bang.

The team was able to quickly identify where the noise was coming from.

A car broke through a half-open entrance to the underground car park.

It then rolled down the driveway uncontrollably.

The two crew members and the emergency doctor immediately went to the scene of the accident, according to the press release from the Munich fire department.

At the end of the underground car park descent, a 59-year-old from Munich called for help.

He had rolled down the entire 15 meters of the driveway in his VW Golf Variant.

The car stopped at the transition to the parking deck.

The left side of the car was pressed against the wall.

The man's leg and head were trapped between the door and the wall.

The helpers quickly realized that they had to call for reinforcements.

The colleagues arrived a short time later.

With air lifting bags and multi-purpose belts, the emergency services managed to pull the car away from the wall.

The man was freed after a few minutes, the statement said.

In the presence of the emergency doctor, the man from Munich went to the shock room of a Munich clinic.

There, the doctors found fractures on the ribs and skull.

The man also suffered bruises to his upper body.

How the accident happened is still unclear.

The Munich police have started the investigation.
