A survey conducted by Ituran through the Geocartography Institute among owners of bicycles and electric scooters shows that 28% of owners of bicycles and electric scooters have had the tool stolen at least once.
The survey also shows that 5% of the tool was stolen twice, 4% that the tool was stolen three times, and 1% that the tool was stolen more than three times.
It turns out that the main fear of owners of bicycles and electric scooters is that they will be hit by another vehicle (50%), 36% are afraid of theft, 25% that the battery will catch fire, 26% of falling from a scooter or bicycle and 16% of stepping on a pedestrian.
In the 18-34 age groups 42% have an electric bike and 36% have an electric scooter.
At the age of 35-54 40% have an electric bike and 58% have an electric scooter.
At 55-plus, 18% have an electric bike and only 5.5% have an electric scooter.
Ituran says that they have recently developed advanced protection for scooters and electric bicycles.
