The Russian Ministry of Digital Development announced the activation of its online store for Android applications.
Russia Today website quoted Minister of Digital Development Mansour Shadaev as saying, “Residents of the Russian Federation will be able to download the beta version of the locally developed application store on their Android devices at the end of next May,” noting that experts from the Russian (VK) network contributed to the development of the main section. From the services of the new online store and with the support of other local companies specialized in the field of information technology.
Russia decided to launch its own electronic application store after some American companies such as Google and Apple recently imposed some restrictions on the use of their products and services in the regions of the Russian Federation.
