The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of two air defense systems in Ukraine, one of which is the S-300, and the elimination of more than 200 members of the Ukrainian Nazi battalions, in addition to the destruction of 38 military sites with high-precision long-range missiles, the downing of an attack helicopter and two drones.
"Operational and tactical aviation and the Russian Air Force destroyed 38 Ukrainian military installations, including 7 command posts and two air defense systems, one of which is S-300 in the Nikolayev region and the other of the Osa-AKM type," the ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in a press briefing.
He added that two fortified sites and 27 training and storage sites for Ukrainian military equipment were destroyed, noting that 210 Ukrainian Nazi elements were eliminated during the past 24 hours.
Konashenkov continued, "Artillery carried out 309 tasks during the day, during which it destroyed military posts and fortifications, as well as 3 ammunition depots in the Chervonoy and Ilyichvka regions of the Kharkov region."
He noted that the Russian air defense systems had shot down a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter in the Cherkasskaya Lozovaya region of the Kharkov region, and two drones in the Rudkovskaya and Borshovka regions.
