Injury in Mong Kok.
At about 1 am, the police received a call from a woman saying that her husband had been stabbed with a knife at the junction of Argyle Street and Canton Road.
Police officers and ambulancemen rushed to the scene after receiving the report and found a man in his 50s with a stab wound to his waist. He was taken to the hospital after preliminary treatment in an ambulance. It is reported that his injuries were minor and he was conscious when he was sent to the hospital.
According to on-site sources, the male victim was a new immigrant from Zhanjiang, and he and his wife worked in some underground bamboo pavilions hosted by the village.
However, the two were accused of owed about 10,000 yuan in debt. Although they had repaid about 3,000 yuan earlier, the final number was not fully repaid.
Even in the early hours of today (28th), it was learned that the wife was on the street in Mong Kok and was suddenly approached by the creditor. The wife called her husband for help. The opponent took away the sharp knife, and in turn slashed his waist.
Upon seeing this, the creditor fled immediately, and it is known that he dropped his sharp knife on the side of the road.
The police came to the scene to look for the creditor who was suspected of hurting people, but it was nowhere to be found.
Some police officers turned on their flashlights and searched around the scene for the murder knife involved, but they have yet to find it.
As for the man injured by stab wounds, after investigation, the police arrested him on suspicion of "possession of an offensive weapon".
