The war in Ukraine claims numerous civilian victims.
In order to relieve the hospitals there, patients were now flown to Nuremberg.
Nuremberg – On April 26, Nuremberg admitted six patients from the Ukraine as “Kleeblatt Süd”.
The "cloverleaf concept" was originally developed in the context of the Corona crisis in order to effectively distribute patients requiring intensive care throughout Germany.
Germany was divided into five parts, Bavaria is considered the "cloverleaf south".
This should prevent hospitals from being overburdened and the occupancy of the intensive care beds should be organized as effectively as possible.
The concept is currently being used in connection with the Ukraine conflict.
War in Ukraine: Nuremberg accepts patients from Ukraine
According to
BR.de
, six slightly to moderately injured patients from Ukraine landed at Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg on Tuesday.
They are now being distributed to hospitals in the greater Nuremberg area, including clinics in Erlangen and Bamberg.
According to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, they should be treated there.
War in Ukraine: more injuries expected in Bavaria
The Ukraine conflict has now lasted more than two months.
Millions of people fled the war zone, many of them to Germany and Bavaria.
The Ukraine refugees are happy about the great willingness to help.
Patients have been coming to Germany again and again.
The organization is carried out by the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK).
For several weeks now, the cloverleaf concept has been used to distribute the sick.
The admission of patients from the Ukraine has two main goals: to relieve the pressure on the clinics in the war zone and to help chronically ill people who require special care and treatment.
The people from Ukraine are distributed all over Europe.
