The Ukraine war triggers a feeling of powerlessness in many people, and children also want to help.

That is why there is a fundraiser in Nuremberg daycare centers.

Nuremberg – Nurnberg daycare centers are organizing a fundraiser for children and young people from Ukraine.

The motto: "Children for children - all for peace".

The city of Nuremberg announced this in a press release.

War in Ukraine: Nuremberg day-care centers collect for children and young people

Elisabeth Ries, advisor for youth, family and social affairs, is pleased to be able to open the event together with Ella Schindler, member of the Mischpacha association: “The war in Ukraine causes a generation-spanning feeling of powerlessness.

The urge to do something is immense.

Just like adults, children and young people want to become active and help,” she is quoted as saying.

And further: “It is therefore wonderful that the children will have the opportunity to show their solidarity in a creative way next Saturday.

I would like to thank all the children, their parents, TSV Katzwang and the employees of the Nuremberg daycare centers involved and of course I wish numerous visitors and a large amount of donations!”

Fundraising campaign in Nuremberg: Collection campaign for Ukrainian children

Money, clothing, toys, picture books and educational books for children and young people are collected at the campaign in Nuremberg.

Items you have brought with you can be handed in on site.

“The proceeds from participation in games and the sale of drinks and cakes go to the Nuremberg family club Mischpacha eV.

The association was founded in 2004 by Russian-speaking immigrant families and supports migrants in integrating in Nuremberg.

The work of the association focuses on children and young people,” the press release continues.

The campaign is organized by the municipal daycare center Johannes-Brahms-Straße in cooperation with the parents' council, TSV Katzwang and with the support of other municipal day-care centers from the surrounding districts.
