Bavaria's Social Affairs Minister Ulrike Scharf visited the food distribution for Ukrainian refugees in the former Kohl fashion house in Bruck.
Fürstenfeldbruck – Together with the chairmen of the community foundation, Günther Bertram (left) and Dorothee von Bary (right), managing director Katrin Rizzi (middle) and the chairman of the board of the Bavarian association of food banks, Peter Zilles, she got an overview of the volunteer help on site.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)
"The big Bavarian heart beats here," said Scharf.
In the past few weeks, the volunteers have donated clothes and distributed several tons of food to the refugees.
The Free State of Bavaria is now supporting the Tafel with 200,000 euros for food purchases, because the goods donated are no longer sufficient to supply the Ukrainian refugees in addition to the previous customers.
Because these are now transferred to the regular table system.
