Starnberg - A 39-year-old woman from Andechs was caught by an employee in a Starnberg clothing store around 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening when she stole a rain poncho worth 79 euros and wanted to leave the store without paying.
The police officers who were called took the woman to the police station for further clarification.
.There it turned out that she had hidden other items of clothing in a fanny pack sewn into her dress.
Since it was assumed that this was not the first time she had acted in this way, the officers contacted the public prosecutor's office, who ordered a search of the apartment.
In the 39-year-old's apartment, the officials finally found several suitcases in which food and various everyday items were stored.
For example, there were 25 jars of a well-known nut nougat cream, 20 jars of instant coffee, several jars of honey, as well as a variety of shampoos, soaps, detergents, eau de toilette, lighters, brushes and scissors.
According to the current status of the investigation, it can be assumed that the woman from Andechs resold the goods in her social environment.
The value of the loot is around 1,500 euros.
The woman will face criminal charges of shoplifting.
