In the future, there will not only be a mountain inn on the Galaun, but also a bar. Two young friends want to serve wine, beer and champagne here.
Some fear a new party location.
Tegernsee
– A new bar is opening in Tegernsee this Saturday (April 30) – not in the valley, but embedded in green meadows at an altitude of 1060 meters.
A small outbuilding at the Berggasthaus Riederstein am Galaun - previously used as a kiosk from time to time - will in future be used to serve Aperol Spritz, wine, beer & Co. Because expensive champagne is also on the menu, some people assume that there is one behind the "Riederstein Bar". new party location for the trendy crowd.
The young operators themselves want nothing to do with it.
Operator Götzl: "Do not want the big party in the forest"
"We want a relaxed atmosphere and don't want the big party in the forest," assures Maximilian Götzl when asked by our newspaper.
The 19-year-old is the nephew of Galaun host Franz Wagner and will run the bar belonging to the mountain inn together with his partner and long-time friend Leon Findler (20).
Both have already done a lot of jobs in gastronomy and now want to set up something of their own.
According to the preliminary plan, the bar will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Only this weekend is it still closed on Sunday, only on Saturday (April 30th) there is a bar.
In addition to drinks and beer, there are also bruschetta and tarte flambée
In addition to drinks, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, there are also snacks such as bruschetta and tarte flambée on hand for hikers - and the aforementioned champagne.
The most expensive costs 300 euros per bottle.
Such a noble offer makes observers and commentators on the Internet already make assumptions.
Is there also a lot of teasing going on here? One asks oneself in Tegernsee with a view of Haslberger's Almgaststätte in the neighboring Söllbachtal.
Götzl declined and emphasized that he only wanted to cover a “broad range” with the various wines and types of champagne.
Visitors should be able to relax with their drink around the alpine restaurant in the meadows.
"We want to make everyone happy," says the bar operator.
The outbuilding already served as a kiosk in Corona times
The kiosk of the popular mountain inn at the foot of the Riederstein was already open from time to time.
During Corona, chilled drinks were available here for hikers and mountain bikers.
The operators therefore assume that no separate approval is required for future bar operations.
City of Tegernsee surprised by bar plans: "Will check the case"
In any case, the city of Tegernsee was surprised on Thursday by the news that a bar was to open on Galaun.
The town hall was not aware of the plans so far, said managing director Hans Staudacher.
The district office and the city would now examine the case.
It is already clear that the bar will be reserved for pedestrians and cyclists - access by car is only permitted to authorized persons.
"Visitors and guests of the mountain restaurant are not included," the manager clarifies.
