The Syrian Trust for Development announced that the National Microfinance Bank started today disbursing the productive development loan to 50 people affected by the fires in Lattakia and the Jableh countryside.
The Municipality stated in a statement published on its Facebook page that this loan aims to revitalize the areas affected by the fires, and that this step came as a continuation of a process that began with an initial evaluation conducted by a group of civil committees to determine the beneficiaries of the loan. And the National Microfinance Committee has those committees with the affected people who have been reached, and they focus on everything related to the details of the loans granted, guarantees, guarantees, and facilities, as well as determining the types of projects that can be financed.
The projects submitted for obtaining the financing included the cultivation of crops such as olive trees, lemons, summer vegetables, wheat, barley, wild thyme, tobacco, and animal husbandry, including bees, poultry, cows and sheep.
Yesterday, the Syrian Trust for Development announced the launch of the productive development loan for those affected by the fires that swept thousands of acres of agricultural and forest land in the countryside of Lattakia in the fall of 2020, with a value determined according to the borrower’s need and the nature of his project, and it starts from 250 thousand Syrian pounds to 5 million Syrian pounds.
