There can be no greater victory than this:
a very unique circumcision took place this morning (Thursday) at 10:00 exactly at Kibbutz Rosh Tzurim in Gush Etzion.
Seconds after the siren to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day began, the mohel performed a circumcision on a newborn baby, with the godfather being the great-grandfather - a Holocaust survivor.

Rabbi Natan Weinberg, a 90-year-old Holocaust survivor from Germany who lives in the town of Efrat, served as a godfather in the circumcision of his 49 great-grandson, during the siren of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Ben Yishai Hoter served as the mohel who performed the moving ceremony.
"Just before we started the covenant we sang the Krakow tune. Many know its happy part, but it starts very sad. Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach said he came to Krakow and saw the synagogue empty and in his vision he sees the souls of the six million. Immediately afterwards I performed the covenant. Immediately afterwards I put my hands in the hands of the Godfather and connected with the people of Israel, previous generations, the sanctity of the class. I have no words to describe the excitement. The people of Israel are growing and growing, and if there is anything that can comfort us after this disaster, it is to continue "He who escaped from the Germans gets to be the godfather of his 49th grandson."
The ceremony also has a close connection to the difficult week before us, between Holocaust Remembrance Day and Remembrance Day.
The mohel, Ben Yishai Hoter, is the brother of Gabriel Hoter who was killed in a terrorist attack at the Othniel Yeshiva nearly 20 years ago.
Hoter and three of his friends heroically locked the yeshiva kitchen doors, physically preventing the terrorists from embarking on a killing spree inside the dining room where many students were.
"Today is my brother Gabriel's birthday. There is no doubt that it touches. To me, more than we lost, the people of Israel lost an amazing soul. Think how much difference Holocaust survivors in the world have made, and how much the murder of the six million has been cut off. What a loss."
